The Red Door Shelter in the Greater Toronto Area
Since 1982, the Red Door Shelter (a non-profit registered charity) has provided services for families and individuals who need safe and supportive emergency shelter. They have now grown to be one of the largest family shelters in Toronto, providing shelter and support to over 500 families every year.

Items accepted: All items must be NEW AND UNUSED. Please do not gift wrap items! These items can include:
- Gifts for teens (beauty products, electronics, gift cards for clothing stores, movie theater, etc.)
- Toys for all ages
- Adult toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, deodorant, lip balm, toothbrushes, toothpastes, etc.)
- New or gently used winter jackets, coats, boots
- New winter gloves, socks, scarves, hats
- New baby items (baby clothing, car seats, strollers)
- Baby toiletries (diapers, baby wipes, baby shampoo, baby lotion)
- Baby gift basket for new mothers (unisex arrangements if possible)
- Kitchen items (toasters, microwaves, dish sets, cups, blenders, cutlery, etc.)
- Sheets and towels
- Feminine hygiene products
- Non-perishable food or grocery gift cards for their shelter food banks,
- Gift card options: Single adult: $100 or Single parent & 1 child: $150

Sick Kids Hospital only accept donations of brand new toys and activities that have purchased within the last three months. Even if items appear clean or have never been played with, they may have have been exposed to dust, pets and bacteria. Due to their patient’s fragile immune systems, they cannot accept gently used or previously owned toys.
Kanata Food Cupboard in Ottawa, Ontario.

Collecting donations for non-perishable food and personal care items:
- Rice
- Large can/containers of juice,
- Canned fruit
- Fruits cup and juices boxes (suitable for school/camp lunches)
- Canned flaked meats (chicken, ham or turkey)
- Baking supplies (flour, oats, sugar, spices, cake and muffin mixes)
- Deodorant for men and women
- Feminine hygiene products
- Toilet tissue.

Winnipeg Harvest welcomes dry goods such as soup mix, rice, pasta, crackers or lentils. Canned soups are also a welcome addition to their hampers.
Siloam Mission needs coffee over the cold months when Winnipeg’s homeless seek an hour of warmth in their drop-in center.
We are fortunate to have so much, and we know that the idea of giving to those less fortunate than ourselves is a meaningful one for our Spirit of Math families. Whether you and your child decide to support a family in need, or a homeless person, we thank you for your support!
