Spirit of English
Where strong readers become confident writers, speakers, and critical thinkers
Spirit of English is designed for high-performing students who already have a strong grasp of English and are ready to explore its depth and versatility. The program challenges students to think critically about how the language works while strengthening their reading, writing, and communication skills.
Students become thoughtful communicators capable of analyzing complex ideas, expressing themselves with clarity, and engaging meaningfully with the world around them.
More than English Tutoring
Spirit of English is not tutoring. It is a structured system that nurtures advanced learners to become confident communicators and critical thinkers. The program challenges students to go beyond memorization and mechanics, helping them appreciate language as both a tool and an art form.
Students are encouraged to analyze texts deeply, write with intention, and speak with clarity. Each lesson combines foundational skill-building with creative exploration, resulting in a rich, well-rounded command of language.
The Spirit of English System
Like the Spirit of Math program, Spirit of English is modeled around four distinct streams that work together to build both technical mastery and creative expression:
- Drills and Grammar
- Expression and Novel Study
- Core Writing and Composition
