Classroom Workshops

Spirit of Math Neuron Ticklers workshops for students are designed for on-site delivery at public and private schools. Spirit of Math teachers will travel to the classroom for an hour long interactive session exploring the life, ideas and mathematical concepts of Pascal, Venn, Gauss and Fibonacci

Important Information
  • Neuron Ticklers workshops are available from grades 1 to 8. Each mathematician is geared for a specific grade.
    • Pascal Pathways (grades 1 and 2)
    • Venn Diagrams (grades 3 and 4)
    • Gauss Series (grades 5 and 6)
    • Fibonacci Sequence (grades 7 and 8)
Teacher

Parent Workshops

Strategies for parents to assist their high performing child in the underlying language of mathematics and connections between different math concepts. Parents will leave the session with concrete strategies to better meet the needs of their high-performing children at home.

  • In this session, the misconceptions that surround mathematics enrichment will be explored, along with ways in which parents can help their children at home.

Educators Professional Development

Dating back to 2007, Spirit of Math’s teacher training program has benefitted hundreds of teachers. Our programs range from half-day workshops to year long collaborative partnership to strengthen math-teaching skills of an entire school board or school district.
