Is a nationwide unified curriculum valuable? Kim Langen debated this issue last week in Lahore, Pakistan.

On Saturday November 5th, CEO of Spirit of Math Kim Langen participated in a debate at Beaconhouse School system in Lahore, Pakistan.

Appearing as the opposition alongside Dr. Lawrence Burke (Director of the Beaconhouse School System). Kim debated the value of a nationwide uniform curriculum. Pakistan is home to one of the most skewed income distributions in the region. 60% of the total income is distributed to only 20% of the population while the bottom 20% receive only 5% of the total income.

Many argue that this stratification is exacerbated by the fact that Pakistan features multiple curricula in schools across the country. Is standardized curriculum the solution to the problem?
