Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,

Welcome to the Spirit of Math Ottawa Campus! We look forward to another exciting year of learning and growth. We currently offer online and in-person classes from Kindergarten to Grade 11.

For those of you returning to the Spirit of Math, we are glad to have you back as we continue our journey with a shared vision to be inspired and motivated while overcoming challenges that once seemed insurmountable, only to face the next with more confidence and ability.

For those new students who are just joining our community, I encourage you to make the most of your time here. Your experience will be what you make it, and your opportunities will only be limited by the limits you place on yourself.

The tutors are patient, knowledgeable, and truly care about helping students understand math, not just memorise it, so kids work on thinking out of the box. Both of my kids have grown tremendously in confidence and skills over the years, and their grades reflect it. I have a contradicting experience with Spirit of math, as did many of my peers, I suspect. I joined the program a bit late, so I was very behind for a while and, well, hated it. Who would like something they suck at? Anyways, as I got older and continued with the program, I realized just how much it helped with my math. School was a breeze, and even now, in the IB program, I still retain a pretty high grade! Most of all, I had fun discussing problems with friends and classmates. Turns out that with great teachers and supportive classmates, even once hated subjects like math could grown to be liked. To parents and students reading this, I hope you would grow to appreciate SOM as much as I did, I cannot imagine what life would be like without the massive head start it has given me

My kids have been going to Spirit of Math – Central Campus for over 10 years. The teachers are incredible. Staff is so friendly and helpful. The curriculum is challenging and really brings out the math genius in kids. My kids have loved the experience so much that one now works there as a student teaching assistant and the other is planning on applying next year. We love being a part of the SMS family and highly recommend it!!
