Seeking a Student Speaker for the Annual Spirit of Math Conference 2021

Dear Spirit of Math Students, Do you enjoy public speaking, storytelling or sharing your experiences with others? Perhaps you have been searching for a way to kick-off your speaking career at a young age? Or maybe you’re just looking to discover a new passion for that one day you have free in September. If you answered yes to any of the above, then you will be excited to hear that Spirit of Math is looking for a student to speak at our upcoming annual conference on September 17, 2021! The conference will be online; therefore, no travel will be required. The selected student will give a speech or presentation for 15-30 minutes within the theme of courage. This may include, but not limited to, telling a story or giving a speech about something that they, or someone else, did that required courage, or a more formal presentation about a courageous venture they undertook. There are many other options that would be acceptable, the only requirement is to have a theme of courage. As everyone is aware, Spirit of Math students are amazing and exceptional in everything that they put their minds to. Having so many amazing students makes it very difficult for us to choose only one student, and therefore we are requesting video submissions by no later than 11:59pm on August 22nd, 2021. In order to submit your application, please fill in the form found at the bottom of this page. You must be signed in with your Spirit of Math email to upload a video. Please read the video requirements below for more details: • Must have a theme of courage. • Length of video should be no less than 2 minutes and no more than 4 minutes. • Introduce yourself and any notable achievements that demonstrate courage if any • Explain what you will present and/or speak about at the conference. • Sell us on yourself! Why should we pick you? • Conference Speaker Application Form: Microsoft Forms.
