Campus Message

Dear Parents and Guardians,

On behalf of our entire staff it is our great pleasure to welcome all new and returning students and parents to Spirit of Math Mississauga West campus. We are proud to be serving the Mississauga community for over 15 years.

Our highly trained and dedicated staff is comprised of highly efficient principals, excellent teachers and responsible and enthusiastic assistant teachers, many of whom have been part of our Spirit of Math family for 15 years. As such our staff is uniquely positioned to understand the challenges and appreciate the successes of our students, many of whom place in the top ten percent in the various national math contests.

We pride ourselves on not only producing excellent results but also giving back to our community through various outreach programs such as our annual Toy Drive and Food Drive that benefit various charities within the Mississauga community. We invite you to visit our purpose-built facility in Mississauga and be a part of our vibrant, diverse and highly motivated community that shares the common goal of providing the best of mathematics education to our students.

In addition, applying to the assistant teacher position was a huge step and I feel that it was a great experience as it enhanced many of my skills. I have been at Spirit of Math for 7 years now, and I have nothing but positives to say about the organization. The topics that are taught are relevant to Ontario's math curriculum, at times being a year in advance of what is taught in school, ensuring that they are aptly prepared. The atmosphere caters to students and helps to bring out their learning through collaboration. The questions are never too easy or too hard, but just enough to stimulate the brain and challenge the student. The focus is always to improve upon math skills, but the program also provides a great way to make friends or gain work experience in a part-time job as an Assistant Teacher. I would recommend this program to any child with a passion in math.

My kids have been going to Spirit of Math – Central Campus for over 10 years. The teachers are incredible. Staff is so friendly and helpful. The curriculum is challenging and really brings out the math genius in kids. My kids have loved the experience so much that one now works there as a student teaching assistant and the other is planning on applying next year. We love being a part of the SMS family and highly recommend it!!
