Aspire Courses

The Aspire courses have been created to address specific needs of students related to government mathematics curricula for grades 1 to 6.

Recommendation: These courses are recommended for students wanting to strengthen their skills and understanding in specific strands of mathematics. Choose a stream that directly relates to your needs, or choose several streams or courses:

Aspire Core Streams

Each course consists of 8-weeks of one, 1-hour class per week by grade. Different courses are offered at different times of the year. Courses include: Number Sense and Numeration; Spatial Sense; Patterning, Algebra and Functions; Data Management & Probability; and Financial Literacy.

Students can sign up for as many of the courses as they wish for their grade, as one courses follows the other.

Aspire Mental Math Stream

(Course starting in January 2021)

Each course consists of 8-weeks of one, 30-minute class per week by grade. There are four different courses in this program for each grade. Each course focuses on different types of mental math strategies for their grades, in addition to working through Spirit of Math’s famous drill system. The four courses are offered at different times of the year.
